…this morning in the garden,
A Blackcap, this is a first for the garden (well that I’ve spotted anyway!) also got another nice shot of one of the Goldfinch which seem to have made the garden a regular hangout, they do love the Nyjer seeds.

…5 hours checking out Ardingly Reservoir, the weather didn’t quite live up to the forecast (nothing unusual there then!) and I was disappointed to find the hide locked! However I did get to spot quite a lot of birds with a couple of firsts, a Tree Creeper and Great Crested Grebe (winter plummage) unfortunatly no photographs of them, I did however get a half decent shot of a Golcrest!
I will return in the spring when the migrants start to arrive back from their winter holidays!

…to the garden, 12 Long Tailed Tits have made the feeding station part of their daily feeding routine. These little birds seem to be fearless, one of them landed on my cap briefly while I was stood next to the feeding station, I had 4 within arms length!
